What is the difference between the Evolve levels and the Evolve modifications?

There are currently three progressive Evolve levels: Evolve Basics, Evolve I and Evolve II. Within each program, there are three variations of each exercise (called modifications or ‘mods’) so that the same movement can be performed at an easy, medium, or difficult level. Evolve encourages users to “Evolve up” or “Mod down” from one exercise to the next in order to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses.
