My Evolve is a space on the Evolve app where your social community of Evolve users comes to life. Posts from friends that you follow will aggregate in your feed, letting you be inspired to move by images and quotes shared by your Evolve community. A strong, engaged community means ongoing motivation to move, so post often and inspire others to Evolve.
Find other Evolve users by clicking ‘Connect’ in the left-hand side menu. From there, visit ‘Find Friends’ on iPad, or scroll up on iPhone to reveal the search bar. Begin timing the name you’d like to find, and click ‘follow’. If the user has a public profile, you will automatically start seeing their posts in your My Evolve feed. If the user’s profile is private, a request will be sent to their account for approval before you start seeing their inspiration appear in your feed.
My making your Evolve account public, other users can follow your inspirational posts freely after following your profile. If your account is left on the default private setting, you will be sent a follow request each time a new user wants to follow your My Evolve posts.
The ‘Allow Primal Challenge’ toggle determines whether other users can compare their Primal Challenge results with yours. If the toggle is switched on, other users can match their most recent Primal Challenge graph with your most recent results, serving as motivation to keep moving and keep improving together.
To start a workout, click ‘Workout’ on the left-hand menu bar after logging in. You’ll now be on the workout selector screen. Evolve will suggest a workout highlighted in gold based on the last workout you completed. To follow Evolve’s recommended path, keep this workout selected. To choose a different workout, click on one of the other workout icons. From there, toggle between the trainers until your trainer of choice is in the front position. Next, choose the length that works for you and select from the music options: our music, a playlist from your iTunes, or the trainer’s voice alone. Lastly, click ‘begin’ to start your workout.
To avoid unwanted pauses on your iPhone or iPad, turn on the ‘lock’ feature by clicking on the lock icon to the right of the bottom video player bar. To disengage the lock, click on the same lock icon and your touch screen will once again be active.
Once you’re in the workout, there are two volume controls on your video player screen: one vertical control at the top right-hand corner to change your iTunes playlist volume, and one horizontal control in the bottom bar to raise or lower the trainer’s voice. Toggle both levels until you find the mix that works for you.
To access tutorials, tap your iPad or iPhone screen, or click on any desktop screen during any workout. The video will pause and tutorials to choose from will appear. Click on the mod that’s right for you and a tutorial video will pop up to breakdown the movement step-by-step. If you’ve seen enough before the video ends, tap or click outside of the tutorial player to resume your workout.
